GDB MGT211: Question: How franchising could be disadvantageous for a franchisee? On which grounds it is beneficial for the franchisee? Solution: How franchising could be disadvantageous for a franchisee? How franchising could be beneficial for a franchisee? Restricting regulations The franchisor can exert a degree of control over the majority of the franchise business and decisions made by the franchisee. The franchise agreement usually includes restrictions on how you can run the business. The franchisor might go out of business. • High initial investment • Limited creativity • Lack of privacy • Business of location • Hours of operation • Decor • Products 1. Business assistance: Franchiser provides guidance to franchisee in all affairs of the business. This assistance can be essential to running a successful business and makes it much easier than starting a business from scratch. • Capital Motivated and Effective Management • Fewer Employees • Speed of Growth • Limited Risks and Liability 2. Initial cost Even if you opt for a low cost franchises you’ll likely still have to front a few thousand dollars. While this can be seen as a disadvantage of franchises, it’s important to weigh the opportunity against the initial investment and find the right balance for your business. Initial investment of the franchise fee buys a lot of the benefits for the franchisee, it can also be costly-especially if you’re joining a very well –know and profitable franchisee. 2. Lower failure rate: Franchises have a lower failure rate then solo business. When a franchisee buys into a franchise, they’re joining a successful brand, as well as a network that will offer them support and advice, making it less likely they’ll go out of business.

@moaaz said in STA631 GDB 1 Solution and Discussion: Part b): What are the types of sampling design? Explain each type. Types of sampling design in Research Methodology There are different types of sample designs based on two factors viz., the representation basis and the element selection technique. On the representation basis, the sample may be probability sampling or it may be non-probability sampling. Probability sampling is based on the concept of random selection, whereas non-probability sampling is ‘non-random’ sampling. On element selection basis, the sample may be either unrestricted or restricted. When each sample element is drawn individually from the population at large, then the sample so drawn is known as ‘unrestricted sample’, whereas all other forms of sampling are covered under the term ‘restricted sampling’. The following chart exhibits the sample designs as explained above. Thus, sample designs are basically of two types viz., Non-probability sampling Probability sampling. We take up these two designs separately. [image: e26cUoE.png] CHART SHOWING BASIC SAMPLING DESIGNS Reff

Solution Idea: Yes its useful idea to develop online compiler for C. Cloud computing is a model for enabling convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources that can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort. The paper aims to describe an online compiler which helps to reduce the problems of portability and storage space by making use of the concept of cloud computing. The ability to use different compilers allows a programmer to pick up the fastest or the most convenient tool to compile the code and remove the errors.

In my honest opinion, the characteristics that will be more focused and preferred will be the Usability. To better explain it, think Usability as a nurse to a doctor which needs protection against a deadly virus and will also act as masks and gloves that are wore by conventional doctors. Similarly, as gloves, masks and nurses help doctor to function more effectively, usability will work in a similar fashion. Cost is not that much of a problem in this field, and the reliability is automatically increased as this diagnosis process is more improvable.

@zareen said in CS502 GDB 1 Solution and Discussion: require to find the shortest possible route algorithm Dijkstra’s algorithm (or Dijkstra’s Shortest Path First algorithm, SPF algorithm) is an algorithm for finding the shortest paths between nodes in a graph, which may represent, for example, road networks. It was conceived by computer scientist Edsger W. Dijkstra in 1956 and published three years later. Reff Dijkstra’s algorithm to find the shortest path between a and b. It picks the unvisited vertex with the low distance, calculates the distance through it to each unvisited neighbor, and updates the neighbor’s distance if smaller. Mark visited (set to red) when done with neighbors. [image: iKmWWZF.gif] Dijkstra’s algorithm llustration of Dijkstra’s algorithm finding a path from a start node (lower left, red) to a goal node (upper right, green) in a robot motion planning problem. Open nodes represent the “tentative” set (aka set of “unvisited” nodes). Filled nodes are visited ones, with color representing the distance: the greener, the closer. Nodes in all the different directions are explored uniformly, appearing more-or-less as a circular wavefront as Dijkstra’s algorithm uses a heuristic identically equal to 0. [image: DB15LaU.gif] A demo of Dijkstra’s algorithm based on Euclidean distance. Red lines are the shortest path covering, i.e., connecting u and prev[u]. Blue lines indicate where relaxing happens, i.e., connecting v with a node u in Q, which gives a shorter path from the source to v. [image: aycA5pg.gif]

Looking at these VMs at the highest-level, the differences between the CLR and JVM seem almost negligible. However, in many (if not most) cases, the differences at the VM-level mirror the key differences between the languages that use them. Because of the way these VMs, and their corresponding languages, were built, each functions slightly differently in order to provide the functional capabilities that their creators wanted to provide. What do you think about the differences between the CLR and JVM? Will you choose your next programming language based on which VM it uses? Let us know in the comments below!

Yes, the utilization of speech recognition is extremely useful during a social environment. speech recognition systems had found a broad range of use in computerized games and toys, control of various instruments, data collection, and dictation. The feature also proved to be of much help among those that couldn’t obtain keypads and among those with certain disabilities. utilized in evolving search engines; when using search engines there are often differences between how we type our inquiries and the way we verbalize an equivalent queries. The user may have trouble expressing a phrase or their intent thus might not acquire appropriate results. With the inclusion of speech recognition in search engines, the results of accuracies are going to be significantly increased. As speech recognition improves, there’ll be a big implication on how the general public views search engines generally. Use in commission delivery; customers and clients might not want to talk to a live operator. Therefore, they prefer to use speech recognition systems. This helps to form the method efficient and improves on time because it cuts on waiting time. This has its application in various airports in confirming the travel schedules of the aircraft.
